KAPUSKASING – A dozen young bowlers from the Kapuskasing Youth Bowling Council participated in the provincial bowling tournament held March 2-3 in Dryden, and one brought a bronze medal home to the Model Town.
Local YBC Coordinator Loraine Peters, was extremely satisfied with the performance of her young players.
“Our young players have all played well. We had one winning team. I would like to congratulate Amélie Éthier, Sydney Carrière and their coach Roxanne Lessard. on their bronze medal performance,”she said.
Next step: Train and come back next year!
“It’s just great because after all it was a provincial tournament so the competition was really tough. A few more points and we would have won the other medals, but you know, we took what we were able to and then next year, watch us we will go further,” said Ms. Peters.
The community has once again demonstrated its generosity, as 13 businesses and organizations financially helped these young bowlers to go to Dryden and try their luck with the provincials.
