KAPUSKASING – The La Forge Country Music Festival will be allowed to proceed as planned, on the organization’s property.
Recently, however at a Kapuskasing Committees of the Whole/Council meeting, it was recommended that council approve to submit an all-inclusive zoning amendment application for the properties located at 150, 158 and 170 Brunetville Road.
These are the addresses of Details Home Décor, La Forge and the neighbouring former École Catholique Jeanne Mance, all of which are currently fall under residential zoning.
With the all-inclusive amendment, all three properties will be re-zoned commercial.
La Forge’s re-zone will include a “special event” exemption, allowing the organization to host the festival.
